About me

Hey there, my name is Jake Viquez! I was raised in Rockwall, Texas and was fortunate enough to go to Rockwall High School and play under coach Rodney Webb. I wasn't the most highly recruited kicker out there, I only received one (1) partial scholarship offer to an NAIA school. Luckily, my dad found an unsigned senior try-out at Texas A&M-Commerce University and I did well enough to be granted a preferred walk-on (PWO) opportunity. After years of learning and being the backup to the best kicker in TAMUC history (Kristov Martinez), I was named the starting kicker after competing in a kicking battle. I worked my tail off and was named a captain on the team. I did my absolute best and was able to be one named of the best kickers in the nation in 2021. My story goes a lot deeper, and the meaning behind it made it so impactful. I absolutely had the best time of my life playing college ball, and I'm looking to help the next generation!
